Family decided to get out and about for a little bit this afternoon. We’re lucky that this little dirt road is only about 30 minutes away. The 4Runner was load up with 5 people, so my son sat in the third row. A good thing as the second row passengers bounced about on the road, they weren’t very stable folks!
I enjoy getting out, I don’t do it nearly often enough.

What difference 60 miles can make... smoke is still awful up north. That’s a very nice place.

Smoke was awful down here yesterday, but better today. We figured since it was settling trapped along the front range, maybe getting into the hills a little bit would help.

Thanks, it was! We had to reroute to a different road due to a late start this morning. I originally wanted to go a little further west, but this still ended up being a great drive.

Gorgeous. I remember as a kid trying to navigate my folks from maps from the back seat while crossing streams at the door sills... glad you’re passing on the explorer gene :)

I miss water being in CO, but don’t take advantage of the mountains nearly enough. It’s beautiful getting out there.

We have a guide book that mentions fun to explore things on some of the side roads. My wife is not a good navigator, but my 10 year old son is!

And to think, I went to buy a red one, but just really loved the blue when I saw it. The reverse happened with my Tacoma, I went to get a blue one, but liked to red.
